ISO 14064-2 is an internationally recognised standard that provides a framework for quantifying and verifying greenhouse gas (GHG) reductions from specific projects. Traditionally applied in sectors like energy and agriculture, SOS has uniquely extended its use to address embodied carbon emissions from facility relocation and clearance.

Facility relocation and clearance are often overlooked contributors to carbon emissions. From transporting materials and furniture to disposing of outdated equipment, these processes generate significant embodied carbon. Embodied carbon refers to the GHG emissions generated during the production, transportation, and disposal of materials used in construction and manufacturing.
